The ability of the financial services sector to address ESG concerns material to it, has a significant impact on its long-term sustainability. For Ireland’s financial services sector to maintain and grow its expertise and reputation for highly rated financial services, it must strengthen its capacity for innovation, boost sustainable finance skills and talent and develop best practice in this area. In doing so, there needs to be a smooth interaction between developing the sector as a leading sustainable finance hub and supporting education at all levels. As such, the link between finance and the real economy and the way ESG considerations integrate with banking, insurance and investment activities and business models needs to become an integral part of training. In realising this objective, SIF Ireland partners with the Sustainable Finance Skillnet to provide a range of practical training options on sustainable and responsible investment.
